For the developers of Riverstone, few things are more important than education. A part of the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District, Riverstone’s anticipated on-site schools are planned to combine expert instruction and innovative technology to equip new generations for academic success. And to give resident families the ultimate in convenience, Riverstone’s schools, once constructed, will only be a walk, bike or short car trip away from the front door of every home. In the interim students will attend Webster Elementary, Ranchos Middle School and Liberty High School, all sporting academic and athletic excellence.
With nine schools serving nearly 2,000 students, Golden Valley Unified School District is a standout. The district’s Liberty High School, for instance, boasts a graduation rate of 96.18%, which is the highest graduation rate in the region. Golden Valley also maintains a better-than-average student-teacher ratio of 21:1, and was named a Silver Award recipient for Best High Schools from U.S. News & World Report. Athletics are strong, too. The high school’s football, girls’ tennis and girls’ soccer teams all recently won 1st place in their respective divisions—and 1st place in their league.
